Life Update: Where Have I Been?

It’s been a hot minute since I’ve sat down and written anything on my computer. If I’m being completely honest, I don’t feel inspired anymore. I’ve always been known as the girl who's into fashion, and now that I don’t feel the connection between me and my style, I feel simply ordinary. This may not mean much to many, if not all, of the people reading this, but it means a lot me, and isn’t that what it’s all about? Everyone goes through periods when they feel like they’re at a loss of ones self, I get it, but it’s been about six months of dullness and I am over it

I started my blog when I was thirteen for a school project. Little did I know that a few short months later I would be invited to New York Fashion Week in February, 2015. A few months after that I had my first brand collaboration, I definitely felt like the coolest 13 year old ever. Throughout 2015, I was constantly putting together outfits and taking pictures in public, feeling totally unstoppable. My then 14 year old self continued feeling unstoppable and created content up until the summer of 2016. I continued blogging, but less frequently and the spark of creativity I once had started to simmer down.

Flash forward to the present and I haven’t blogged since the end of April. I don’t have any ideas anymore, and I feel like what’s the point if I can’t come up with anything original. Also, who’s going to care about what a 16 year old has to say? I know this isn’t what it’s all about, but it kind of sucks when you pour your heart and soul into something you are so dedicated about only to have no one appreciate, or in this case, read it.

It’s definitely hard to be open and vulnerable on the internet, and it comes with risks for sure, but doesn’t someone have to be? I am currently spending my summer at the beach, working a part time job, trying to rediscover myself, and spark my creativity. I don’t really know where Kramer Kouture is going at this point, but I do know that I spent too much time and energy just to let it die. I am open to new things and if any of you out there have taken the time to read this, first of all, thank you, and second, send me your ideas! It doesn't just have to be fashion related, this is a new chapter of my life and I am ready to see where my  thoughts (and yours!) take me. My goal when creating this outlet was to inspire at least one person throughout my journey, if I can accomplish that, that’s all that matters.

Currently on to the next adventure, I hope to see you there…

Beauty Sponges, On The Hot List

If you haven't heard of a beauty blender/beauty sponge, what are you doing? Personally, I don't see the big whoop about getting an original beauty blender when there are so many affordable dupes out there. I'm about to get you hooked on two beauty sponges, both under $10! Yes, you read that correctly. I've tried the classic beauty blender shape, but the slander, more chiseled, unique shapes work so much better. The first sponge I'm raving about is from L'Oreal Paris and it is the, L'Oreal Paris Infallible Beauty Blender, Generalist 101. It's a fairly new purchase of mine, and I must say it is uh-ma-zing

Spring Makeup Essentials

When it comes to makeup, I like to keep it dewy and simple. Nude colors and a healthy glow are essential for me, especially during the Spring and Summer time. I've definitely been having a lot of fun lately experimenting with new looks and colors, a 15 year-old girly girl's dream. While I sat at my vanity this morning making myself look a little more presentable, I figured it would be fun to share some of my favorite products to the blogosphere. I'm, as well as many others, guilty of being very nosy when it comes to what beauty products other people use so, if you're curious like me this post is just for you!

This trio is crucial for a flawless base. All from L'Oreal (which is affordable and easily found at the drugstore!) the pro-glow foundation, true match lumi liquid illuminator and primer give the face such a natural, healthy looking glow. The primer keeps the foundation lasting all day and all three products apply so smoothly!

Super Easy Glowy Makeup Tutorial

Hey cuties! I'm at it again making videos because why not, am I right? I hope you are all having a lovely Saturday. To be completely honest, I was super bored when I got home from school yesterday so I started messing around with makeup and stuck the camera in front of me. I ended up creating this simple, glowy  spring look and I loved it! It's no surpriseI'm no MUA, but I'm 15 and like to do what I can to make myself look at least somewhat presentable, LOL. If I do continue these videos, I am going to keep them very raw and natural so you guys can get to know the real me. I want to be able to connect with you guys because we're all alike! If you're reading this you're clearly into fashion and beauty, meaning we can totally be friends. I hope you enjoy the video and let me know if you want to see more. In the mean time, check out my Instagram feed @kramerkouture

Teenage Skin 101: What You Don't Know About Your Skin

After a recent trip to the dermatologist, I feel like a complete skin care queen (slight exaggeration). Did you know that it takes three weeks for pimples to form?! I def didn't. This means that the whole "I ate so much junk yesterday and now I'm breaking out like crazy!" thing isn't true. Whatever you did three weeks ago is what causes those blemishes that you're blaming from the night before!

You know what else? Spot treatment should really be applied lightly over your entire face to combat the pimples that are still being formed under the surface of your skin. Squeeze a pea size amount of your favorite spot treatment in the palm of your hand and pick up a little on your finger at a time. Spread a bit of product on your forehead, then cheeks, chin, nose, and what ever is left all over your face. It may not seem like anything is there but trust me, you'll thank this trick later.

Less is definitely more, unless told otherwise by your skin doctor, start your skin care routine with a cleanser, moisturizer, spot treatment, and toner if you desire. I've rounded up some of the best, and most recommended, drugstore skincare products below. DISCLAIMER: The pictures may be a little blurry due to computer glitches but the link and price to all the products are below as well!

A Picture Worthy Print

It's been a lovely swinter (summer + winter) the past few days here in the mid-east coast. I am currently in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware, but back home in the outskirts of Washington, D.C., it is lovely as well--maybe a little too lovely for February. As much as I'd love to dress like it's summer, I'm trying not to get ahead of myself, so I've been wearing cold weather looks, like the one in today's post, except without a coat. Today's look was all about balance between crazy patterns and solids. It's also the perfect outfit to wear when you don't feel like getting out of bed in the morning--so cozy! Keep reading to find out how I styled these very opposite pieces.

Neutrals and Nature

Hey lovelies! I am finally back after what feels like an eternity. If any of you are OG Kramer Kouture readers, than you'll notice that all other posts have vanished. People change over time, and so do their blogs. For my new readers, I am 15 years old and I started my blog when I was 13. As you can imagine, I've changed a lot within those two years. I've entered adolescence with some level of sophistication, if I do say so myself. My style and blog have evolved so much since I first started KK two years ago. I got tired of the same-old same-old so I am looking at this as a refresh. Blogging and fashion once again have my priority, (with the exception of school of course because how am I going to run a fashion empire without an education, duh) and I look forward to sharing my love of style and art with you babes. With that being said, keep reading for a brand new post on a brand new Kramer Kouture!
